About The Position

The Community Enrichment Specialist role at Community Enrichment Center - McPherson is a full-time, day shift position. The primary responsibility is to provide quality living and community support, responding to the needs of individuals in residential, work, or community settings. This involves teaching, supporting, and facilitating choices for individuals in their daily lives.

Requirements

• High School diploma/equivalent preferred.
• Basic mathematical, grammar and computer skills preferred.
• Valid drivers license preferred.
• Must be able to lift, push and/or pull a minimum of 50 pounds.
• Must be able to stand for periods of time, bend, push wheelchairs, and provide physical intervention on a regular basis.
• May be required to wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).

Nice To Haves

• Prior direct care experience preferred.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel and individuals served.
• Must demonstrate compassion for individuals with disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Implement Person Centered Support Plans for assigned individuals.
• Assist with daily living skills including meal preparation, general hygiene, toileting, general housekeeping, work and leisure activities.
• Administer medication and treatment(s).
• Complete documentation as required.
• Report any occurrences affecting the well-being of the individual to the appropriate supervisor.
• Attend all assigned and required meetings.
• Transport individuals if approved as a driver of agency vehicles.
