About The Position

The Honors College is seeking a motivated, creative, and student-focused practitioner to join our team. This position is ideal for someone who is enthusiastic about creating meaningful experiences that support student success. This person will assist the Senior Assistant Director of Community Outreach, Development and Engagement with the Honors College City-ship program and other Honors College community events and initiatives. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, organized, detail-oriented, and able to balance day-to-day tasks while keeping the larger goals of the program in mind. They should be a collaborator who enjoys working independently while contributing to a team. Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends for events is required. This role is hybrid and work schedule will be worked out with supervisor based on the needs of the office and individual.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Ability to establish and maintain interpersonal relationships with students.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, and weekend events.

Responsibilities

  • Mentor and monitor the student experience in City-ship Program to ensure student success.
  • Track and approve City-ship student hours and progress in JobHawk and other related systems.
  • Assist in the planning and facilitation of City-ship events (Welcome, Halfway, and End of Year Celebration).
  • Help with the creation, planning, and implementation of professional development events and workshops for City-ship students.
  • Assistance in the planning and facilitation of Honors Yourself Week.
  • Plan, organize, and run Fall Fest in collaboration with the College of Fine Arts, Humanities, and Social Science and the Zuckerberg College of Health Sciences.
  • Help in planning and attend admissions yield events.
  • Assist with the Honors Induction and Honors Stole the Show Ceremonies.
  • Other job duties as assigned.
