About The Position

The Community Engagement Program Manager leads strategic engagement efforts to ensure Community Resource Program (CRP) Home Youth Services (HYS) and Community Action Reentry Services (CARS) programs are informed by community voice, lived experience, and regional needs. This position plays a critical role in advancing MWVCAA's mission to alleviate poverty and build self-sufficiency by coordinating advisory councils, supporting regional planning, and conducting community needs assessments that guide program development and service delivery.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Administration, Social Services, or a related field.
  • Two years of experience in administration or program management/coordination.
  • Valid driver license, insured vehicle available for use on the job, and a satisfactory drive record for the previous three years.
  • Candidate must pass a comprehensive MWVCAA background screening prior to employment.
  • Candidate must pass pre-employment and random drug screenings.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, manage time and remain highly organized.
  • Possesses highly effective interpersonal skills, with demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with diverse groups orally and in writing.
  • Ability to remain flexible and adaptable in the presence of changing requirements and program needs.
  • Possess intermediate to advanced computer skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, database software, online tools, and video conference platforms.
  • Experience facilitating advisory groups or stakeholder processes
  • Consistent punctuality and reliable attendance are essential requirements for this role.
  • Ability to work effectively and maintain positive, professional relationships with team members and clients.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Housing & Homeless Advisory Council and Keeping Families Together Advisory Council
  • Plan and facilitate community meetings, advisory boards, and partner convenings
  • Ensure MWVCAA participation in support of community partner presentations
  • Support implementation of initiatives such as KFT through coordination and alignment with program goals
  • Serve as key point of contact for multi-sector partners
  • Maintain relationships with provider networks and community stakeholders
  • Lead community needs assessments using qualitative and quantitative data
  • Support regional planning and strategy development
  • Produce reports to guide funding and program design
  • Track engagement outcomes and program impact
  • Use data to inform decision-making and improve systems
  • Support reporting and evaluation efforts
  • Recommend program enhancements based on findings
