About The Position

The Community Engagement Manager, Salary Grade 24 ($76,553 - $123,250), is an Exempt position responsible for planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating community engagement and small business development initiatives. This role involves building and maintaining partnerships, developing outreach strategies, monitoring program performance, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. The position also involves representing the organization in various community and business forums.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Social Work, Human Services, Education, Community Development, Nonprofit Management, Sociology, Psychology, or a closely related field.
  • Five years of progressively responsible experience in community engagement, service delivery, public administration, nonprofit administration, program management, or a related field.
  • Two years of supervisory or management experience.
  • Any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid Georgia driver’s license.

Responsibilities

  • Manages, directs, and evaluates assigned staff, including work schedules, timesheets, employee concerns, performance appraisals, and training.
  • Organizes, prioritizes, and assigns work to subordinates, ensuring they have necessary resources, monitoring work in progress, and providing progress reports.
  • Plans, develops, implements, and evaluates community engagement and small business development initiatives, identifying needs, setting goals, and developing strategies.
  • Builds and maintains partnerships with community organizations, business associations, advocacy groups, educational institutions, healthcare providers, governmental agencies, and other stakeholders.
  • Develops and implements outreach and engagement strategies to promote participation in programs and services, facilitating community meetings, workshops, and events.
  • Monitors program performance and outcomes, collects and analyzes data, develops performance measures, and prepares reports and recommendations.
  • Develops, administers, and monitors program budgets, identifies funding opportunities, assists with grant applications, and ensures responsible stewardship of resources.
  • Provides training, education, and technical assistance related to accessibility, cultural awareness, inclusive service delivery, and community engagement.
  • Recommends policies, programs, and practices that improve participation and service delivery, evaluating organizational practices for barriers to participation.
  • Ensures compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, policies, and standards related to accessibility, nondiscrimination, program operations, and service delivery.
  • Represents the organization at community meetings, conferences, advisory boards, public forums, business forums, and stakeholder groups.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
