About The Position

The Salvation Army Midland Divisional Headquarters in St. Louis, Missouri, is seeking a Community Engagement Manager. This salaried position offers an excellent benefits package. This role also serves as the point person for special events, including the annual Red Kettle Campaign.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and four years of related work experience (combination of education and experience will be considered).
• Professional, personable, works well with people, and understands and appreciates the diverse audience in local communities.
• Previous supervisory or volunteer management experience.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Skill and confidence in computer software applications including Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook, and ability to navigate the internet.
• Valid driver's license and pass The Salvation Army MVR.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement volunteer recruitment and management policies and procedures in accordance with organizational policies and existing Volunteer Handbook.
• Maintain a customer service mindset in every connection with officers, staff, the community and volunteers.
• Establish annual goals and objectives for community engagement in mission and ministry.
• Manage and troubleshoot as needed the online volunteer platform.
• Manage a year-round strategy for recruiting groups of volunteers from corporations and community groups.
