About The Position

The Community Engagement Liaison serves as a key connector between the organization and the communities it serves. This role is responsible for building strategic partnerships, supporting outreach initiatives, representing the organization in community settings, and utilizing data-driven strategies to improve member engagement and community impact. The position combines relationship management, public health knowledge and accurate reporting to advance health outcomes and organizational priorities.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in community outreach, community engagement, public health/community health, healthcare, marketing, or partnership development
  • Must reside in the state of Oklahoma
  • Experience building relationships with community organizations, stakeholders, or external partners
  • Experience with data entry, reporting systems, or database tools

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Community Health, Marketing, Communications, Healthcare Administration, or related field
  • Experience in managed care, Medicaid, healthcare, or nonprofit community settings
  • Knowledge of community health and social service agencies and additional community resources
  • Knowledge of population health and social drivers of health
  • Experience creating reports, or analyzing community engagement data
  • Bilingual skills preferred based on community needs

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain relationships with community-based organizations, providers, schools, faith-based groups, coalitions, and local stakeholders to strengthen partnerships and improve member outcomes
  • Represent the organization at community events, health fairs, meetings, coalitions, conferences, and stakeholder forums
  • Identify opportunities for collaboration that align with organizational priorities, health outcome goals, and population health strategies
  • Serve as liaison between internal teams and external partners to address community needs and improve access to services
  • Drive and support outreach strategies that increase awareness of member benefits, preventive services, and community resources
  • Apply knowledge of public health principles and social drivers of health to identify barriers impacting members and communities
  • Monitor community trends, disparities, and emerging needs to inform outreach priorities and organizational strategy
  • Accurately document outreach activities, events, referrals, and partnership engagement in QuickBase or other tracking systems
  • Maintain accurate data entry to ensure integrity of records and reporting
  • Regular travel throughout assigned region for on-site visits, presentations, coalition meetings, member engagement, and community outreach activities
  • Maintain working knowledge of covered benefits and program changes
  • Conduct presentations to community groups in accordance with current approved communications and marketing plans and state regulations
  • Reside in the same region where they are assigned to work
