About The Position

City Market Co-Op is seeking a full-time temporary Community Engagement Coordinator to support the Membership department’s daily functions with a variety of administrative tasks. This role is for individuals interested in local food systems, providing a wide variety of local, organic, and conventional products at a fair price, and contributing to the community as part of an integral team at City Market. The position is with a community-owned business and offers an active role in the local food system.

Requirements

Two years of administrative experience required OR three years of customer service or grocery retail experience required.
High School diploma or GED required.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
Knowledge of natural and conventional foods and the food industry preferred.
Experience with data entry preferred.
Public speaking experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Support overall Community & Marketing initiatives with a focus on Membership programming and communication.
Enter Member information and equity into the Membership database, process paperwork, and communicate with partners to ensure timely entry of information.
Enter Member Worker data in Membership database accurately and in a timely manner and correspond with Members regarding any associated questions.
Respond to Member and staff inquiries from the Membership database.
With oversight from the Membership Manager, create and coordinate all reminders to Members regarding equity and Food for All membership renewals.
Activate new Food for All cards for back stock at Customer Service.
Ensure constant supply of new Member packets for Front End at both stores.
Assist with brochure printing and folding, and laminating and cutting signs, as needed.
Keep track of daily Rally for Change statistics.
Scan new Member paperwork into digitized system per current procedures.
Reconcile monthly in-store charge account statements for department.
