Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree AND 2+ years’ experience in donor and volunteer management.
  • Strong interpersonal presence with the ability to engage effectively with executives, civic leaders, donors, and community members.
  • Must have reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
  • Travel throughout the service area is required.
  • Experience translating relationships into tangible organizational outcomes.
  • Deep commitment to mission driven, community centered- work.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and English communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a consistent, active presence in community settings such as Rotary clubs, chambers of commerce, professional associations, civic gatherings, and other influence-driven forums.
  • Proactively introduce new individuals to the organization’s mission, impact, and opportunities for involvement.
  • Act as a trusted first point of connection, ensuring new relationships are welcomed, informed, and thoughtfully cultivated.
  • Implement and develop engagement strategies to build pipeline of potential supporters.
  • Lead KNOW Poverty hours.
  • Track engagement activity, relationship movement, and pipeline growth in partnership with the Advancement team.
  • Develop strong personal relationships with community members who may become donors, volunteers, advocates, advisors, or connectors.
  • Support the growth of individual giving by cultivating relationships that naturally progress towards philanthropic giving.
  • Ensure new supporters feel valued, informed, and connected to the mission from their first interaction.
  • Ensure each portfolio donor has a clear strategy and appropriate timeline for outreach and stewardship.
  • Meet individual fundraising goals to ensure team goals are met.
  • Identify, cultivate, solicit major gifts, engaging board and executive leadership to support as needed.
  • Participate and support fundraising events and activities.
  • Maintain donor relationships that lead to growth in giving.
  • Utilize Raisers Edge to track donor interactions and donations.
  • Provide weekly updates through scorecard metrics on agreed upon goals.
  • Track engagement activity, relationship movement, and pipeline growth in partnership with leadership team.
