You will work directly in the community to help individuals with developmental disabilities find, secure, and thrive in meaningful employment and volunteer roles.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year experience working with people with intellectual disabilities.
• Work requires frequent physical activity including extended periods of standing, walking, and bending with occasional periods of sitting, kneeling, climbing, stooping, crouching, squatting and balancing.
• Work also requires constant reaching between knee and shoulder level as well as frequent reaching below knee level and overhead.
• Work requires occasional independent lifting up to 25 pounds, frequent push/pull up to 40 pounds of force and the ability to safely transfer 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on training, guidance, and encouragement to individuals at their job or volunteer sites, helping them master tasks and build confidence.
• Help individuals develop vital communication and independent living skills that set them up for long-term success.
• Foster positive relationships with local employers and volunteer organizations to ensure a supportive environment for the individuals we serve.
• Safely transport individuals to and from their community employment and volunteer sites.
• Keep accurate, confidential records of progress and milestones, ensuring we are constantly centering the needs, desires, and rights of those we support.
