About The Position

This position mentors, coaches, and directs young adults with Autism to improve their social and vocational skills and opportunities. The role involves networking with the community to find resources. The Employment Integration Specialist coordinates and facilitates access to clients in the Community Adult Autism Partnership Program (CAAPP) and the Community Supported Employment Program (CSE). They ensure that authorizations for services are obtained and revised. This role establishes and maintains community-based sites for vocational opportunities, provides job assessment, career development, skill training, and individualized support for obtaining, maintaining, and enhancing community-based employment and social activities. The specialist monitors service delivery, utilization, and team cohesiveness, and evaluates and uses data to support the continuing need for services.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Social Science, Vocational/Rehabilitation Education, Psychology, Education or related field
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Must be able to demonstrate excellent customer service.
  • Must be able to adapt to rapidly changing demands of the position, customer needs, and the organization.
  • Proficient computer skills and mastery in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Must possess and maintain valid driver's license and be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must have a reliable vehicle that you are comfortable transporting clients in.

  • Experience working with adolescents and/or adults with an autism spectrum disorder
  • Experience with ABA instructional methods

Responsibilities
