About The Position

This position mentors, coaches, and directs young adults with Autism to improve their social and vocational skills and opportunities. The role involves networking with the community to find resources and working with other dedicated professionals. Devereux offers specialized training in Applied Behavior Analysis, Functional Behavioral Assessments, and Supervisory Excellence, along with leadership and professional development opportunities. The role involves working with external stakeholders and adult service providers, with a mix of community-based and office/administrative work settings. The team includes Board Certified Behavior Analysts, Licensed Psychologists, and Social Workers. The Community Adult Autism Partnership Program (CAAPP) provides social and vocational programs/services for young adults (21+ years) diagnosed with Autism who have aged out of the educational system. The position is community-based and out in the field, with M-F day shift hours requiring some flexibility based on activities, events, and caseload. The pay rate is $18-21/hr.

  • Proficient computer skills and mastery in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must have a reliable vehicle that you are comfortable transporting clients in.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Social Science, Vocational/Rehabilitation Education, Psychology, Education or related field.
  • Experience working with adolescents and/or adults with an autism spectrum disorder.
  • Experience with ABA instructional methods, case management and/or counseling experience.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates and facilitates access to clients in the Community Adult Autism Partnership Program (CAAPP) and the Community Supported Employment Program (CSE).
  • Ensures that authorizations for services are obtained and revised.
  • Establishes and maintains community-based sites to be utilized as vocational opportunities for assigned individuals.
  • Provides job assessment, career development, skill training, and individualized support in obtaining, maintaining, and enhancing community-based employment and social activities/participation.
  • Monitors service delivery, utilization, and team cohesiveness.
  • Evaluates and uses data to support the continuing need for services.
