About The Position

This is a seasonal role, typically from November through January, focused on coordinating donations for Primary Children's Hospital. The role involves direct interaction with donors, managing donation intake and distribution, providing clerical support, and assisting with hospital events and gift shop operations. Flexibility in working hours between 7 am and 6 pm, Monday through Friday, is required to meet donor needs.

Requirements

  • Six months experience as a receptionist or working in a clerical position with customer service
  • Experience using a computer including e-mail and internet
  • Demonstrated effective interpersonal verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to perform multiple tasks with accuracy and in a timely manner

Responsibilities

  • Welcome, assist, and thank community donors who visit the hospital.
  • Receive, sort, and distribute donations to appropriate departments and programs.
  • Maintain organized and clean donation receiving and storage areas.
  • Communicate professionally with donors, volunteers, patients, families, and staff in person, by phone, and through email.
  • Respond to phone calls and email inquiries, providing accurate information and timely follow-up.
  • Provide administrative support, including data entry, scanning, filing, scheduling, and processing forms and documentation.
  • Assist with volunteer communications and outreach as needed.
  • Support seasonal donation drives and holiday-related activities throughout the hospital.
  • Assist with hospital holiday decorating projects.
  • Provide support in the hospital gift shop, including cashiering, pricing merchandise, and merchandise displays and stocking.
  • May assist with coordinating and overseeing community volunteers assigned to donation-related projects.
