About The Position

The Kentucky River Area Development District, an eight-county planning and development agency, is accepting applications for the position of Community Development Planner. Under the direction of the Associate Director of Community & Economic Development, works closely with city and county governments and local communities within the District to assist with planning efforts and project development. Acquires information about potential local, state and federal funding sources and responsible for the development, submittal and administration of any resulting loan/grant application.

Requirements

• Good working knowledge of computers and software applications.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Knowledge of reporting and vital record keeping requirements.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees, public, and elected officials.
• Valid driver's license.
• Must pass a competency test and criminal records check.
• Must pass a drug screen for employment offer.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor degree in Public Administration, Business Administration or Planning is preferred.

Responsibilities
