About The Position

Centre is offering exciting opportunities for individuals to join their team as a Community Corrections Specialist. This role provides hands-on experience in community corrections, developing skills for careers in law enforcement, parole and probation, or corrections. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written forms, including clear and accurate documentation.
  • Basic computer proficiency is required, including the use of Microsoft Office and web-based systems for documentation and communication.

Nice To Haves

  • Some college coursework in criminal justice, social work, psychology, or a related field preferred.
  • Candidates who possess at least two years of experience working with criminal justice treatment programs will be given preference.

Responsibilities

  • Observe, assess, and respond appropriately to resident behavior and facility activity.
  • Maintain attention to detail and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Follow established policies, procedures, and protocols consistently.
  • Exercise sound judgment in both routine and emergent situations.
  • Maintain professional boundaries and interact respectfully with residents, staff, and external contacts.
  • Operate a motor vehicle for regional travel as needed.

Benefits

  • Pay: $18.80 to $23.00 (Depends on experience)
  • Health and Welfare: Employees may be eligible to receive a health and welfare fringe benefit of up to $5.09 per hour in addition to base pay (Up to $407.20 per pay period!)
