About The Position

Centre is seeking passionate individuals to join their team as Community Corrections Specialists. This role offers hands-on experience in community corrections, developing skills for careers in law enforcement, parole and probation, or corrections. This position involves working directly with justice-involved clients in residential reentry settings.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written forms, including clear and accurate documentation.
  • Ability to observe, assess, and respond appropriately to resident behavior and facility activity.
  • Ability to maintain attention to detail and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Ability to follow established policies, procedures, and protocols consistently.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment in both routine and emergent situations.
  • Ability to maintain professional boundaries and interact respectfully with residents, staff, and external contacts.
  • Basic computer proficiency is required, including the use of Microsoft Office and web-based systems for documentation and communication.
  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle for regional travel as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Some college coursework in criminal justice, social work, psychology, or a related field preferred.
  • At least two years of experience working with criminal justice treatment programs preferred.

Benefits

  • Pay: $18.80 to $23.00 per hour (Depends on experience)
  • Overnight shift differential: $2.50 per hour
