About The Position

InReach provides a wide variety of supports and services across the lifespan for individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities and their families, focusing on each individual's unique needs. They deliver high-quality services by ensuring individuals receive the right support, at the right time and frequency, from qualified staff in the most independent setting appropriate. The Community Coach provides the necessary support to assist adults with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities in various community activities, which may take place in the individual's home, community, or work site in Charlotte and surrounding areas.

Requirements

• One-year of experience working with I/DD & Special populations
• A high school diploma or GED required
• Reliable transportation and willing to provide customer transportation using your vehicle during work hours
• Valid driver's license and maintain a safe driving record
• Successfully pass a drug screen and background check

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one or with small groups to provide support to customers for activities in the Charlotte area
• Documentation of daily activities
• Help customers explore new things, pursue their interests, & help with socialization
• Responsible to oversee customer participation in activities as described in the goal plan
• Maintain the health and safety of everyone
• Provide reliable transportation
• Maintains credentials (training)
• Assure confidentiality
