The Activity Coordinator is responsible for planning, setting up, and overseeing activities and events at the Community Center. This role assists with the operations of the Community Center, including all resources (facility, gym, events, and classes) during assigned shifts. The coordinator ensures the building, equipment, and machines are functioning properly, and conducts regular inspections for safety hazards, cleanliness, and potential problems at the beginning and end of each shift. This is a hands-on position where attendance is essential. Duties include answering phones, setting up for events, and following administrative and program policies. The coordinator also assists with opening and closing the building, inspecting for proper cleanup after events, and monitoring staff performance, including coordinating rotations, breaks, and managing call-outs. A positive representation of the organization, professional appearance, and meeting attendance guidelines are expected. Employees may be expected to perform a wide range of duties beyond their regular responsibilities due to the Tribe's commitment to community service.
