About The Position

Community Canvassers and Team Leaders are being hired to support a campaign partnered with Reproductive Freedom for All (formerly NARAL Pro-Choice America) and its partners. The campaign goes door to door in Phoenix, Arizona, to educate voters about the state of reproductive rights in Nevada, fight for reproductive freedom, and debunk disinformation. The role offers experience in leadership, communication and advocacy, community outreach and engagement, campaign work, public policy, and social enterprise. Positions run through November 3, with possibilities for advancement afterward. Shifts run Tuesday through Sunday, 11:45 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., with part-time or full-time schedules possible. Canvasser positions start at $23 per hour, and Team Leader positions start at $25 per hour. Paid training is offered at $20 per hour. The campaign also offers overtime pay, daily bonuses, sick pay, and bonuses for friend referrals. Fluent bilingual speakers may earn an additional $2 per hour.

Cultural competence and ability to engage respectfully with teammates and the community.
Must be eligible to work in the United States.
Upon hire, must present original, unexpired documents from the Lists of Acceptable Documents to complete I-9 verification.

Prior canvassing experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Engage with the public in a friendly and respectful manner.
Deliver a compelling campaign message and collect complete survey answers from voters.
Participate in staff training to improve outreach skills.
Follow the campaign's safety protocols.
As a Team Leader, manage a small group of canvassers in the field by checking in with them periodically and debriefing with them at the end of the day.
As a Team Leader, ensure each canvasser has the materials needed to be successful.
As a Team Leader, assist directors with canvasser training and administrative work.
