The Community Benefit Educator will ensure general education and/or certification needs are met during courses and create reports with the public on injury prevention topics. This role requires excellent communication skills and a positive attitude when discussing educational topics with the public. The educator will represent East Tennessee Children’s Hospital with the utmost respect as this is a public-facing role. They will be responsible for providing hands-on training to community trainees, teaching proper techniques to adults and children for each injury prevention topic event, and managing trainees during trainings if teaching Safe Sitter. The educator must also be able to transport training materials for events and work both collaboratively with the Director of Community Benefit and independently for events/classes.
