Community Based Support Professional - Santa Barbara
About The Position
People Creating Success (PCS) is seeking a Community Based Support Professional in Santa Barbara/Goleta. This role is part of our F.A.D.E. (Facilitating Alternative Day Environments) and C.I.T.P. (Community Integration Training Program) services, which assist adults with developmental disabilities in participating in the community and increasing their accessibility to the workforce. The ideal candidate is compassionate, people-oriented, and passionate about community integration and making a meaningful daily impact. PCS has been a Californian leader in providing services for adults with developmental disabilities for over 20 years, with a mission to help individuals pursue career, educational, and life goals.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (required)
- Someone who is compassionate with a people-oriented mindset
- Responsible, and can assist in goal progress tracking
Nice To Haves
- CPR / First Aid certification (Training will be provided if you’re not certified or need to be recertified)
Responsibilities
- Support participants in volunteering & attending events, and exploring their community
- Encourage and model independent living skills
- Assist participants meet their goal through person-centered planning
- Encourage participants to be physically active and engage in meaningful fun activities
- Be a dependable positive impact in their day-to-day life
