About The Position

The Physician for Primary Care, Adult and Pediatrics provides both well-care and acute/chronic care to patients across all ages, from infancy through adulthood, in a primary care setting. The physician is responsible for the comprehensive evaluation and documentation of the health status of patients, ensuring high-quality care throughout their lifespan. They collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including specialists, to deliver holistic and coordinated care. The Physician educates patients and their families on health management, preventive care, and treatment plans. During case conferences, the physician actively engages in discussions with peers, asks questions, and contributes educational in-services to the provider group. Identify parents/children/patients for whom barriers exist. Maintain agency medical records per agency policies. Participate in quality process, and consult with the Medical Director, as needed, regarding complex cases.

Requirements

  • M.D. or D.O. degree.
  • Current, valid license to practice medicine in New York State (license must be in good standing).
  • Maintains credentialing and privileges as granted by the Board of Directors and the Health Center.
  • Maintains DEA registration.
  • Not excluded to participate as a provider in the Medicaid and Medicare Programs.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with compassion and a high level of service.
  • At least two years of experience providing medical care to patients and families.
  • Experience with supervision and/or training to clinical staff.
