Community Based Counselor
About The Position
George Junior Republic Preventative Aftercare, established in 1992, is dedicated to preserving families by offering high-quality home-based services to at-risk children, youth, adolescents, and their families within their homes, schools, and communities. We are seeking community-based Mental Health Workers and Mental Health Professionals for Warren County, PA. Our mission is to assist families in achieving safety, permanency, stability, and well-being. This unique, mobile role involves providing intensive services, truancy support, and trauma-informed care to a caseload of seven to ten families referred by Children & Youth Services and/or Juvenile Probation throughout the county. Services will be delivered in community settings, schools, and homes, utilizing evidence-based practices and various treatment modalities to engage families. Collaboration with schools, mental health agencies, substance abuse services, public assistance programs, and other community support organizations is a key aspect of this position.
Requirements
- Mental Health Worker: Bachelor's degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field.
- Mental Health Worker: A minimum of two years' experience in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field.
- Mental Health Professional: Master's degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field.
- Must live in/near the county.
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation.
- Act 33/34 clearances and FBI clearances.

- Professional licensure preferred.
Responsibilities
