About The Position

Riverside Community Care is seeking a Community Based Clinician to join their Intensive Family Services program in Somerville. This full-time role involves providing direct, intensive community-based support, advocacy, and stabilization for children and families. The clinician will utilize various therapeutic modalities, emphasizing a family systems approach, and provide in-home and in-community stabilization and clinical intervention. Services include youth and family psychotherapy, support, service planning, advocacy, and linkage to resources for youth (including those with severe emotional disturbances), adolescents, and families. The role requires providing culturally competent services to a diverse population facing multiple stressors like inadequate community supports, language barriers, poverty, and homelessness. The clinician will be part of a supportive team focused on ensuring stable community connections for the families served.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in a clinical mental health discipline
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Basic computer fluency, including Microsoft Office
  • Valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle for local travel

  • Bilingual (English and Spanish) strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct, intensive community-based support, advocacy and stabilization for children and families.
  • Provide in-home and in-community stabilization and clinical intervention through youth and family psychotherapy, support, service planning, advocacy and linkage services to youth, including children with severe emotional disturbances (SED), adolescents, and families in the community.
  • Provide culturally competent services to a diverse population, including children and families frequently at risk due to multiple stressors, such as inadequate community supports and resources, language barriers, poverty and homelessness.
  • Work with every member of the family to help meet therapeutic goals.
  • Assure the children and families in this program a stable connection to their community.
