We offer: Part-time, school-based hours (up to 3 days per week) Hourly Pay: $25 - $28 per hour based on experience and licensure. A dynamic and supportive team environment within school settings Professional development and training opportunities The chance to help shape prevention initiatives and mental health strategies Devereux Pennsylvania’s School-based Mental Health Services provides resources, education and support to children – and their families – who are living with emotional, behavioral and cognitive differences. Our School-Based Clinicians respond to the mental health needs of students within a school district, as identified by district personnel.
Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy or other related Human Services discipline.
- Minimum of one year of verified paid experience providing mental health treatment required.
- Current and valid driver’s license required.
- Ability to meet 100% mastery of Safe and Positive Approaches (S&PA) techniques
Nice To Haves
- Clinical licensure preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide individual and group counseling to students based on referral from school district staff.
- Train and provide information sessions for parents, school staff, and other stakeholders on mental health awareness and risk factors.
- Facilitate/co-facilitate groups within the schools as well as in the community as needed utilizing evidence based curriculums.
- Assist with crisis intervention to include initiatives around school based mental health and prevention strategies.
- Develop strong working relationships with schools through respectful communication and accountability.
