About The Position

CAMS (Community Association Management Services), part of the Associa family, is seeking a Community Associate (Manager in Training) for a full-time, salaried role. This position immerses newcomers in community management, offering a path to become a portfolio manager. The role involves shadowing experienced community managers, learning to provide exceptional service to clients, and working within a supportive culture that values inclusion, growth, and flexible work arrangements. The transition from Community Associate to Community Manager typically takes six to eighteen months, with supervisor guidance and performance reviews determining readiness.

Requirements

  • Proven proficiency in learning new technology.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Proven capability to review and analyze financial reports.
  • Grasp of contractual bidding processes.
  • Knowledge of proper meeting order.
  • Familiarity with the architectural request process.
  • Ability to create and maintain a proper working budget.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree or higher preferred
  • Property Management related experience

Responsibilities

  • Maintain an open line of communication with boards of directors and homeowners.
  • Prepare and present budgets to your boards.
  • Analyze monthly financial reports and create variance reports for your boards.
  • Create monthly management reports.
  • Contact and coordinate with vendors for community maintenance projects.
  • Oversee daily operations of your portfolio of communities.
  • Regularly attend board meetings as well as internal team meetings.
  • Supervise administrative and maintenance staff when applicable.
