About The Position

Music House School of Music, part of Ensemble Schools, is seeking an energetic, outgoing and professional part-time Front Desk Community Assistant for our Prairie Village location. The hours for this role are Monday - Thursday 2:00pm - 9:15pm. Occasional Saturday Shifts. Ensemble Schools is a partnership of community-driven music & dance schools that maintain individual identities but share resources to ensure their mutual success. Founded in 2006, Music House is a community of students, their families, and a team of over 25 teachers & 10 administrators. Requirements

  • Energetic, organized, outgoing personality - strong customer service skills.
  • Efficient typing/keyboard skills.
  • Excellent communication skills (writing, speaking and listening).
  • Organized, detailed-oriented and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining focus on each task at hand.
  • At least 2 years prior stable work experience in a similar position - REQUIRED.
  • Computer literacy is a must.
  • A desire to always deliver an exceptional customer experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Sales/retail experience is a plus.
  • Experience with Google Apps (drive/docs, gmail, chrome) a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Welcoming all visitors on arrival.
  • Answering and directing phone calls to the appropriate administrative staff member.
  • Answering client questions regarding billing, scheduling, policies, etc.
  • Performing monetary transactions via POS software.
  • Checking and responding to all voicemail messages and emails in a timely manner.
  • Maintaining/updating all student/teacher schedules in web-based software.
  • Processing new enrollments, sales skills relevant.
  • Handling general clerical duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Assisting the location manager with general administrative tasks, client communication, and supporting the upkeep of the location.
  • Maintaining the organization of office supplies and common areas including restocking supplies, emptying waste baskets, and maintaining and clean and orderly workspace.
  • Interacting and building rapport with the client community.
  • Working as a part of an administrative team, collaborating and communicating across the three Music House locations.
