About The Position

Wolfson Children’s Hospital is seeking a Full Time Day shift Community and Special Event Coordinator to join their team. This role is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing special events and community engagement activities that support patients, families, and the mission of Wolfson Children's Hospital. Working independently under the direction of the Family Support Services Manager, this role collaborates with hospital departments, community partners, donors, and volunteers to develop and manage engaging events that enhance the patient and family experience. The coordinator oversees event logistics, scheduling, attendance strategies, and community donations while fostering strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. This position requires exceptional organizational, communication, and project management skills, along with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Requirements

  • 1- 2 years Event Planning and/or Coordinator experience
  • 1-2 years Community Relations experience
  • Bachelors degree (BA/BS)

Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and evaluate special events, entertainment, and community engagement activities.
  • Collaborate with hospital departments and community partners to ensure successful event execution.
  • Coordinate event logistics, scheduling, vendors, volunteers, and on-site operations.
  • Promote events and implement strategies to maximize attendance and participation.
  • Manage community donations and assist with donor stewardship related to events.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with internal stakeholders and external community partners.
  • Monitor event outcomes and recommend process improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and budget guidelines.
