Occasional Freelance Communications Specialists (f/m/d)
About The Position
Climate Analytics is seeking freelance communications professionals to join their team on a short-term basis. These individuals will be added to an approved contractor roster and offered engagements as needed. The role involves contributing to various communication aspects such as report editing, proofreading, document layout and design, infographics, event organizing, video production, media relations, and social media. Successful candidates must demonstrate a commitment to climate action, possess strong communication skills with a flair for factual accuracy, and have a global mindset. They should be experienced self-starters capable of working independently and meeting deadlines. Familiarity with climate science, energy policy analysis, global development, or international environmental diplomacy is ideal. Candidates should have a proven track record in senior roles within an environmental think tank or extensive freelance experience in this field.
Requirements
- Demonstrated commitment to the mission of Climate Analytics
- At least five years of relevant experience in communications, in a setting where factual accuracy and the weight of evidence are critical
- A track record of high-quality work in one or more communications disciplines: report editing, document layout and design, infographics, event organisation and management, video production, media relations, social media, proof-reading.
- An independent work set-up requiring no infrastructural addition
- Registered for tax as a freelancer/consultant in the country where you live (responsible for your own tax, insurance etc.)
- Proven ability to build positive, effective relationships with diverse teams, including experience working across timezones in multicultural or international environments
- English fluency to at least C1 level and ideally beyond
