About The Position

Nscale is seeking a Communications Specialist to support its senior leaders in external and internal communications. This role involves managing social content, speaking opportunities, events, and other external communications initiatives. The position requires strong writing, organization, and project management skills. The specialist will draft executive communications, coordinate content calendars, manage the executive speaking program, and oversee legal reviews for external materials. This is a US-based role, with a preference for candidates in the New York area who can work from the New York office. It is not a traditional media relations role but focuses on executive communications programs and ensuring clear, effective communication as Nscale grows.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in communications, PR, corporate affairs, executive communications, or a related field.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills, with experience writing for senior leaders.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities at once.
  • Experience supporting executives, speaking engagements, social content, or events.
  • Strong attention to detail, follow-through, judgement, and discretion.
  • Confidence working directly with senior stakeholders and teams across the business.
  • A proactive, ownership-oriented approach and the ability to work independently toward an end goal.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced environment where priorities can shift and context-switching is essential.

Nice To Haves

  • Agency experience is valued; in-house or startup experience is also relevant.
  • Experience in technology, infrastructure, or AI is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Draft social content, talking points, briefing materials, and Q&As for Managing Directors and senior leaders.
  • Coordinate senior leaders’ content calendars, reviews, approvals, and publishing.
  • Support the execution of senior leaders’ communications plans and identify relevant content opportunities.
  • Translate business and communications priorities into clear, audience-appropriate executive content.
  • Coordinate the executive speaking program, including proactive opportunity identification, submissions, deadlines, speaker preparation, and event logistics.
  • Vet incoming opportunities against communications and business priorities and recommend the right course of action and speaker.
  • Prepare briefing materials, talking points, and other materials for panels, fireside chats, keynotes, and other executive engagements.
  • Support senior leaders onsite at priority events, including logistics, briefing, and communications activity around key moments.
  • Manage communications projects across timelines, stakeholders, deliverables, dependencies, and approvals.
  • Coordinate and take ownership of the day-to-day Legal review process for external communications materials.
  • Maintain communications trackers and calendars, keeping upcoming deadlines and dependencies visible.
  • Work independently toward clear outcomes, bringing informed recommendations when priorities shift or challenges arise.
  • Partner closely with Marketing, Events, Legal, senior leaders, and subject-matter experts across the Communications team.
  • Gather regional and functional perspectives to assess opportunities and keep communications aligned.
  • Build trusted relationships across the business to keep fast-moving projects on track.
