About The Position

As the Communications Specialist, you will develop and execute internal and external communications that support brand awareness, organizational growth, and engagement with clients, employees, and the community. You will own the Angels of Care website and internal communication channels, while supporting social media and digital engagement to ensure consistent, on-brand messaging. This position partners cross-functionally with Recruiting, Operations, and Leadership to support key initiatives, manage communication workflows, and ensure timely, effective responses across platforms. The Communications Specialist also serves as a liaison for external communication, maintaining brand standards in a fast-paced pediatric home health environment. This is a hybrid position based at our McKinney, TX office.

Requirements

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to create clear, engaging content across formats
  • Experience managing or contributing to digital communication channels, including websites, social media, and internal platforms
  • Proficiency with tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop), Canva, Mailchimp (or similar), Google Business, and social media platforms
  • Experience creating and maintaining content in Microsoft SharePoint
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, or a related field preferred

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute internal and external communication strategies aligned with the organization’s mission, values, and growth initiatives.
  • Manage and maintain the Angels of Care website and internal communication channels, including newsletters, announcements, and SharePoint content.
  • Create, write, and distribute engaging, on-brand content across digital platforms, ensuring clarity, consistency, and effective calls-to-action.
  • Own external communication channels, including social media engagement, online reviews (e.g., Glassdoor, Google), and website inquiries.
  • Monitor, respond to, and manage high volumes of inbound communication through social platforms and website contact forms, including participation in an on-call rotation.
  • Design and implement automation strategies to streamline responses and improve communication efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute marketing and communication initiatives that support recruiting, operations, and brand awareness.
  • Track trends in social media, digital communication, and the pediatric home health space to inform strategy and improve engagement.
  • Support brand standards by ensuring all messaging reflects company voice, values, and guidelines.
  • Serve as a liaison between external partners, community organizations, and internal leadership.
  • Support programs and initiatives that enhance employee and client engagement, satisfaction, and brand awareness.
  • Approach sensitive communications with professionalism, critical thinking, and alignment to company values.
