About The Position

Schnabel is seeking a Communications Specialist with at least three years of experience to support its Communications team. This role involves combining strategic thinking and collaboration with strong writing and editing skills to develop engaging internal and external content for various channels. The specialist will work closely with Marketing and the firm’s business units to create messages that reflect the brand voice and support strategic goals. The ideal candidate will be a creative storyteller with a passion for writing and brand consistency, experienced in editorial writing, storytelling, social media management, digital communications, website content management, campaign coordination and analytics, multiplatform communications support, and press releases. The role is based out of the Chadds Ford, PA, office.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, public relations, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in communications, editorial content, digital communications, or related roles
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills
  • Proficient knowledge of AP Style
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to effectively use Microsoft Office 365 applications
  • Self-starter with strong organizational and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and produce results while adhering to multiple deadlines
  • Ability to pass a background check which may include criminal history, motor vehicle record and credit check
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with website/intranet content management systems (SharePoint, WordPress) and digital analytics a plus

Responsibilities

  • Creates clear, engaging internal and external content across various media, offering editorial oversight and quality control.
  • Maintains and updates content across channels to ensure timely, accurate information.
  • Applies brand voice and messaging across all materials to strengthen organizational identity.
  • Coordinates multichannel communication plans that support organizational initiatives, events, and strategic priorities.
  • Collaborates with departments, project teams, and leadership to gather information and translate it into clear, audience‑appropriate messaging.
  • Assists with press releases as needed.
  • Tracks engagement metrics, analyzes performance, and recommends improvements to strengthen communication impact.
  • Maintains schedules for recurring communications, campaigns, and content deadlines.
  • Reviews, edits, and proofreads content for clarity, accuracy, and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Assists with communication needs for company events, leadership messages, and major organizational updates.
  • Reinforces company culture and values through consistent, thoughtful messaging.
  • Supports other Communications-related tasks as needed.
