About The Position

The Westminster Police Department is hiring a full-time Communications Specialist I (Police Dispatcher). The position receives and processes emergency and non-emergency calls for public safety services and deploys police personnel promptly and accurately using computer-aided dispatch (CAD). The position is non-exempt and pays $21.74 per hour. The schedule is 40 hours per week on rotating day and evening shifts.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to pass a criminal background investigation.
• Ability to complete timely data entry and navigate various computer interfaces.
• Strong communication and public-relations skills.
