The Partnership for Public Service is a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization dedicated to ensuring the government is dynamic, innovative, and effectively serves the American people. The Communications team's efforts aim to change public perceptions, educate the public on the importance of a high-performing government, and connect citizens with their government. This role ensures Partnership programs and activities are effectively communicated. Communications interns are vital members of the team, assisting with writing, editing, and brainstorming. Interns will be placed in one of four sub-teams: marketing, press, public engagement, or storytelling. Marketing interns support weekly newsletters, blogs, and social media management. Press interns assist with media relations, including building press lists and drafting materials. Public engagement interns support updates for the Federal Harms Tracker, science grants, and public perception research, with a primary project focused on the Federal Harms Tracker. Storytelling interns provide administrative, logistical, and research support for initiatives aimed at understanding government perceptions and raising public awareness. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in communications, public relations, or marketing. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, a team player, and possesses excellent writing, organization, and public speaking skills. Interns will gain experience representing the Partnership, using CRM and email marketing systems, web and graphic design programs, media monitoring tools, and other valuable skills for communications professionals.
