About The Position

SEDA-COG is seeking a creative and motivated Communications & Marketing Manager to tell their story and promote projects that strengthen communities across an 11-county region. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys writing, social media, event planning, and collaborating with various teams, offering an opportunity for career growth in communications.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, PR, or related field (or 5+ years of equivalent experience)
Strong writing and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
Experience with social media and content creation
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Canva

Nice To Haves

Photography, video, or graphic design skills
Experience with events or public outreach

Responsibilities

Serve as the primary media & legislative contact
Prepare and send press releases
Manage social media content, engagement, and scheduling
Create marketing materials (flyers, newsletters, website content, etc.)
Plan and coordinate events (ribbon cuttings, groundbreakings, etc.)
Collaborate with staff to highlight projects, programs, and success stories
Help maintain and update website content
Respond to public inquiries and support day-to-day communications needs (internal & external)
