About The Position

Lutheran Services Carolinas (LSC) is seeking a skilled and creative Communications Manager to help tell the story of our mission and the people we serve across North and South Carolina. This role plays a key part in shaping and delivering internal and external communications that increase awareness, engagement, and support for LSC’s senior services and child and family services. The Communications Manager partners closely with the Director of Communications and Marketing to develop compelling, mission-driven content across digital, print, and media platforms. From storytelling and branding to website and social media management, this position is ideal for a communications professional who is passionate about purpose-driven work and using their skills to make a meaningful impact. Full-time, hybrid position Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m. schedule Eligible for LSC’s full-time benefits package, including health, retirement, paid time off, and holidays

Requirements

  • BA or BS degree in related field
  • Knowledge of social media platforms and applications
  • Demonstrated writing, proofing, and editing skills
  • Photography skills
  • Social media skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

  • Create content for all communications materials (Voices/social media/websites/the teammate newsletter) and assisting in creating marketing materials for programs.
  • Assist the director of communications and marketing in implementing internal and external communication strategies.
  • Focus on mission-driven storytelling to increase awareness, engagement, and fundraising outcomes.
  • Support the Director of Communications and Marketing and help develop and implement organization‑wide communication strategies.
  • Create, edit, and manage content across platforms including print, web, social media, press, newsletters, and multimedia.
  • Oversee branding standards and the creation of marketing and promotional materials across programs and regions.
  • Manage websites, social media efforts, and digital storytelling to support communications, public relations, and fundraising.
  • Provide editorial, project, and administrative support, including special projects, events, photography/video, and promotional inventory.
