About The Position

The School of Psychological Sciences and the Turner Institute for Brain and Mental Health is seeking to appoint a strategic and highly skilled communications professional to lead integrated communications across the School. The role is responsible for developing clear, compelling and consistent storytelling that amplifies the research, education and community impact of both areas, showcasing excellence in psychological science, neuroscience and mental health research and its translation into real-world outcomes that align with Monash University’s strategic purpose. Working closely with Faculty Marketing and Communications and University Marketing and Communications (UMAC), the position ensures communications align with institutional priorities, brand standards and visual identity while delivering integrated content across digital platforms, websites, newsletters and social media, and translating complex research into accessible narratives for diverse audiences. It also manages project delivery, engagement and continuous improvement of communication practices within a complex matrix environment, ensuring high-quality content and stakeholder engagement that enhances visibility, engagement and impact. The successful candidate will have postgraduate qualifications or equivalent experience, and demonstrate strong expertise in strategic communications, organisational management and content development within a large and complex environment. Proven knowledge of university settings, excellent planning and organisational skills and the ability to work effectively across diverse stakeholder groups will also be highly regarded.
