About The Position

The Atlanta University Center (AUC) Robert W. Woodruff Library is an innovative, articulate and resourceful Communications Manager. The Communications Manager serves as the Library's lead storyteller and communications strategist, creating and managing content that elevates the Library's mission, impact, and priorities. This role develops and manages engaging communications across digital, print, social media, and web platforms to advance organizational priorities, strengthen brand awareness, and highlight the Library's impact. About Us The AUC Woodruff Library supports the teaching and learning missions of three institutions of higher learning that comprise the world's largest consortium of Historically Black Colleges & Universities (HBCUs) - Clark Atlanta University, Morehouse College, and Spelman College. Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, English, Public Relations, Mass Communications or related fields
• Five (5) years of communications experience in a library, museum, or nonprofit organization, with responsibility for executive communications, media relations, publications, special events communications, and brand stewardship
• Demonstrated high-quality written communication and project management skills

Responsibilities

• Shares the library's impact through compelling stories, publications, and strategic messaging.
• Advances awareness, engagement, and understanding of the library's mission, resources, and impact through consistent branding and strategic marketing.
• Oversees the library's digital presence and content across web, social, and multimedia platforms.
• Cultivates meaningful connections with leadership, board members, partners, donors, and advocates.
• Measures communications outcomes and leverages insights to enhance strategy and performance
