Since 1999, WomenHeart: The National Coalition for Women with Heart Disease has been the nation’s only patient-centered organization solely devoted to advancing women’s heart health through patient support, community education, and advocacy. WomenHeart is both a coalition and a community of thousands of members nationwide, including women heart patients and their families, health care professionals, health advocates, all committed to helping women live longer, healthier lives. This organization is poised for rapid expansion and leadership in the field. Position Summary: The Communications Manager manages the day-to-day execution of WomenHeart's communications strategy, amplifying the organization's mission, programs, advocacy efforts, events, and partnerships across external audiences. This role owns WomenHeart's organizational content calendar, website, email communications, social media presence, and digital storytelling efforts. The Communications Manager serves as the organization's primary social media lead, responsible for developing and executing platform-specific strategies, creating engaging content, growing online audiences, fostering community engagement, monitoring trends, and analyzing performance to advance organizational goals. Working collaboratively across departments, the Communications Manager develops and executes content that engages patients, supporters, healthcare professionals, corporate partners, funders, and other key stakeholders. The position brings in-house responsibilities currently performed by an external communications consultant and works closely with WomenHeart's Strategic Communications Consultant, who provides strategic brand, messaging, and positioning guidance.
