About The Position

GovCIO is hiring for a Communications Manager onsite in Springfield, VA. This role ensures effective communication among the Customer, the Contractor, and stakeholders. The Communications Manager will develop a Communications Management Plan aligned to contract objectives and provide proactive, accurate, and timely communications on services, major incidents, outages, and changes. The role involves tailoring communication channels and content to various stakeholder groups and defining regular communication mechanisms for planning, prioritization, performance review, and issue resolution. Coordination with Customer program offices, business units, other Customer contractors, DHS components, airport authorities, and relevant agencies is essential. The position also includes participating in Contractor-to-Contractor (C2C) collaboration to ensure compatibility with other providers, identifying and resolving cross-contract frictions (tools, processes, schedules), and facilitating regular stakeholder engagement cycles for requirements, expectations, and dependencies. Support for Customer reporting, oversight, and strategic planning by providing requested data and artifacts is also a key responsibility.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's with 12+ years communications management experience (or commensurate experience)
  • Must have experience in the development of campaigns for both communication and training to facilitate maximum user adoption with new and existing systems as well as for self-service adoption
  • Ability to maintain a Public Trust clearance

Responsibilities
