About The Position

This role is responsible for managing communications efforts, requiring a Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related liberal arts field. The position demands at least three years of full-time related experience, with student work counting at 10 hours per week. Volunteer experience is not considered work experience. The ideal candidate will possess superior AP-style writing and editing skills, with the ability to adapt messaging for diverse audiences. Strong attention to detail, a solid understanding of print and electronic publications, and best practices for each are essential. Excellent project management skills are required, including the ability to independently develop and complete projects, respond promptly, and meet deadlines. Proficiency in Microsoft and Google suites is necessary, alongside excellent verbal and written communication, team management, and client management skills. The role requires demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external partners, manage tight deadlines, handle multiple projects, and perform under pressure. A collegial attitude and willingness to collaborate across functions, along with flexibility for both strategic and daily management tasks, are highly valued.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, Public Relations or related liberal arts degree
  • Three years of related experience (each year must be full-time, 1,500 hours/year or more)
