About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated Communications Manager to join our Institute for Community Health Innovation (ICHI) Marketing and Communications team. Based in Springdale, AR, you will translate our community health initiatives into compelling stories and strategic content across multiple platforms, with a strong emphasis on collaboration and impact. In this role, you will plan, develop, and publish engaging content that highlights ICHI’s research, programs, and community impact. You will create multimedia storytelling through written features, social media, podcasts, and video; translate data into accessible narratives. You will collaborate with design and multimedia staff to ensure content meets brand standards, accessibility, and user experience best practices. You will develop and execute comprehensive communications plans aligned with program goals; monitor outcomes and refine strategies. You will deliver reports and presentations to investigators, leadership, and external partners; support dissemination of findings and program success. The ideal candidate brings experience crafting stories across formats, proficiency with social media and digital production, and the ability to tailor messages for various audiences. Requirements

  • Associate: Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, public relations, journalism, or a related field plus two (2) years' of project/program manager experience.
  • Five (5) plus years of marketing, communications, or program management experience, preferably in community-based or public-interest environments.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience creating content across multiple formats (written, digital, video, social).
  • Strong storytelling ability with a portfolio of published work.
  • Proficiency with social media management tools, basic graphic/video editing, and data visualization.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines; strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment; attention to detail and confidentiality.
  • Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a public-health or community-based setting.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Knowledge of audience research and outreach best practices for public engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, develop, and publish engaging content that highlights ICHI’s research, programs, and community impact.

  • Deliver reports and presentations to investigators, leadership, and external partners; support dissemination of findings and program success.
  • Develop and manage marketing plans and strategies for community-based programs; ensure creativity, effectiveness, and measurable impact.
  • Oversee design and creative development of outreach materials, curricula, and presentations to reach target populations.
  • Create institute storytelling content across written, digital, and social platforms; showcase program impact.
  • Support dissemination projects, producing data-driven reflections and impact reports.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment, consistency, and timely delivery of communications.
  • Other duties as assigned.
