About The Position

SpringHill is a youth outreach and discipleship ministry that uses immersive experiences to impact lives and prepare the next generation of Christ-centered leaders. Our team is community focused, fun, and committed to cheering each other on in our work and personal faith. The Communications Coordinator supports the consistent execution of SpringHill’s marketing communications, with a primary focus on email campaign execution, social media coordination, content planning, copywriting, storytelling, and content capture. Working closely with the Marketing Manager, Social Content Creator, and internal partners, this part-time, hybrid role turns marketing priorities into timely, engaging, and brand-aligned communications. SpringHill’s communications rhythms change throughout the year. This part-time role combines remote work with regular on-site presence and requires flexibility to shift focus seasonally while supporting ongoing campaigns and organizational priorities.

Requirements

  • Commitment to the mission and ministry philosophy of SpringHill.
  • Strong writing, editing, email marketing, storytelling, social media, and project coordination skills.
  • A creative eye and experience capturing social-first photo, video, interviews, and other content in an active camp or event environment.
  • Organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple assignments and shifting priorities while working independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment.
  • Schedule flexibility, including willingness to work some evenings or weekends when needed and up to five additional hours during select high-priority weeks.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with email marketing, social media, project management, graphic design, photography, or video tools preferred; camp, ministry, nonprofit, marketing, communications, journalism, or content creation experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Write and execute brand-aligned email campaigns based on strategy, audience, messaging priorities, and timelines established by the Marketing Manager.
  • Build and assemble campaign emails in SpringHill’s email marketing platform, coordinating approved copy, creative assets, links, calls to action, and other required elements.
  • Proof and quality-check emails for accuracy, formatting, links, mobile readability, brand consistency, and overall guest experience.
  • Manage assigned email production timelines and thoughtfully adapt campaign messaging across email and social channels as appropriate.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Manager and Social Content Creator to plan and execute SpringHill’s organic social media presence.
  • Coordinate social media workflows, including content planning, deadlines, assets, approvals, scheduling, and posting.
  • Maintain a consistent content rhythm that balances community engagement, brand and ministry storytelling, and promotional priorities.
  • Write, adapt, and repurpose content across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and LinkedIn, tailoring messaging and format to each platform and audience.
  • Monitor engagement, trends, and performance and use insights to strengthen future content planning.
  • Ensure social content reflects SpringHill’s brand standards and appropriate music, image, video, and content-use rights.
  • Help identify and prioritize current, evergreen, and future content needs based on marketing priorities and upcoming campaigns.
  • Write clear, compelling, brand-aligned copy for social media, email, web, print, campaigns, and other communications.
  • Capture and coordinate photos, video, interviews, testimonials, and stories that support current and future marketing needs.
  • Identify meaningful stories that demonstrate SpringHill’s mission, ministry impact, people, programs, and culture.
  • Coordinate content timelines, assets, and contributors and maintain organized content for future use.
  • Collaborate with departments across SpringHill to support approved communications needs and gather the information, assets, deadlines, and approvals needed for execution.
  • Apply SpringHill’s brand voice, messaging, visual identity, and communication standards while honoring camper safety, parent trust, privacy, and appropriate content-use standards.
  • Over time, take increasing ownership of SpringHill’s organic day-to-day social media coordination while maintaining dependable email campaign execution.
  • Coordinate content timelines, assets, and contributors and maintain organized content for future use.
