About The Position

This is a part-time 20-25 hour per week hybrid position supporting the agency mission by providing hope and healing to those impacted by domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking. The role involves ideating, developing, writing, and executing monthly e-newsletters and bi-weekly blogs, managing agency email communications, designing print and digital collateral, creating and evaluating social media content, responding to general agency inquiries, and maintaining website content. The position also requires maintaining confidential records, adhering to agency procedures, increasing awareness of victimization and resources through public speaking and media requests, participating in community meetings, and staying informed of best practices in the field of trauma and victimization. Professional development is encouraged through training and maintaining certifications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree or Equivalent Experience
  • Ability to work with those that have or are being victimized.
  • Access to transportation that allows them to meet all job requirements in a timely fashion.
  • Ability to reach, stand, crouch, walk, and finger, grasp, sit, twist, talk, hear, and perform repeated motions.
  • Ability for close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus to perform an activity to determine accuracy and thoroughness of work assignment.

Responsibilities

  • Ideate, develop, write, and execute monthly e-newsletters and bi-weekly blogs to nurture relationships and educate existing supporters, internal staff, and new audiences.
  • Manage schedule and create agency email communications, including promoting event support and fundraising campaigns.
  • Design print and digital collateral to support events, fundraising appeals, and donor stewardship.
  • Create, execute, and evaluate social media content to meet agency and department goals and objectives.
  • Direct and/or respond to general agency inquiries, including requests for speakers, media interviews, and donation requests received through website form and social media.
  • Maintain accuracy of Safe Alliance website content and support website updates for The Umbrella Center.
  • Act with client in mind and work to meet client's needs and expectations to the extent possible.
  • Maintain confidential and accurate, up to date client, stakeholder, intern, and volunteer records, program and agency records in agency databases, which may include CSN, Raiser's Edge, Financial Edge and Timeforce.
  • Adhere to agency and program procedures concerning documentation, Critical Incident Reports, and Client Satisfaction Surveys, and participate in the Quality Assurance process.
  • Increase awareness of victimization, prevention, and available resources through public speaking and media requests as assigned by supervisor.
  • Participate in community meetings and committees as assigned by supervisor.
  • Promote and maintain professional relationships with agency staff, volunteers, interns, stakeholders, and community partners.
  • Contribute to quality of services by staying informed of best practices, developments and trends in the area of trauma and victimization, especially as it relates to intimate partner violence, sexual violence, and child maltreatment.
  • Maintain and develop skills and knowledge by attending training and ensure licensure and certifications are up to date as needed for the job.
  • Contribute to agency effectiveness by performing other duties as assigned.
