About The Position

Homewood is seeking a Communications Coordinator to join the Resort Marketing Department. The Communications Coordinator is a guest-facing communications role responsible for helping tell the stories that define Homewood while keeping guests and the community informed with clear, timely, and engaging resort information. Working closely with the Resort Marketing Manager and Media Coordinator, this position supports snow reporting, social media, email marketing, website content, event communications, digital signage, and other resort messaging. This role sits at the intersection of marketing and daily resort operations. Success requires excellent writing, strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to gather accurate information from across the Homewood team and translate it into communications that reflect the Homewood voice.

Requirements

  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with strong attention to accuracy, tone, grammar, and brand standards.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to gather information from multiple departments and translate it into clear guest-facing communication.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced resort environment while managing multiple deadlines and maintaining accuracy.
  • Familiarity with content management systems, social media scheduling tools, email marketing platforms, Canva or similar design tools, and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize time-sensitive communications.
  • Professional demeanor and a guest-service mindset when interacting with guests, community members, and team members.
  • Must be able to work early mornings as a core part of winter snow reporting responsibilities.
  • Ability to stay composed and accurate while responding to changing weather, conditions, events, and operational information.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining clear communication with the Resort Marketing Team and resort departments.
  • Flexibility and ability to pivot to new projects and desire to work in fast-paced environment.
  • Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to deliver service to members, guests, and team members.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to stay calm and focused during the busiest of times.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English; additional languages preferred.
  • Must be able to work flexible work hours/schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Long hours may be required due to business demands.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the position including, but not limited to, working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, standing, walking, and moving for periods of greater than eight (8) hours, and lifting and carrying items sometimes greater than fifty (50) pounds.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of WordPress and Adobe Creative Cloud preferred.
  • Intermediate to advanced ski or snowboard ability preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary snow reporter during the winter season with support from the Media Coordinator and Resort Marketing Manager; this requires being on-site as early as 5:30 a.m. five days per week and may include weekends and holidays.
  • Coordinate with the Resort Marketing Manager and Media Coordinator to draft, schedule, publish, and maintain content across Homewood social channels, including Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
  • Draft and support the scheduling of guest newsletters, resort updates, event communications, and other email marketing.
  • Write and update website content, operating information, event calendars, blog posts, and other timely resort information.
  • Create and schedule marketing and guest-information content for resort digital signage with direction from the Resort Marketing Manager.
  • Maintain consistency, accuracy, and appropriate brand voice across guest-facing written communications.
  • Work with resort departments to gather accurate operating information, event details, conditions updates, and stories for timely communication to guests and the community.
  • Support seasonal campaigns, community engagement initiatives, resort events, and special marketing projects.
  • Monitor communications for accuracy and make timely updates as weather, conditions, operations, or event details change.
  • Other duties as assigned.
