About The Position

As a Communications and Public Relations Consultant, you play an essential role as an expert advisor to senior management, managers, and colleagues, drawing on your keen understanding of reputational, corporate, and business issues and risks. As a public relations expert, you act as a media relations and reputation risk management advisor, serve as the spokesperson for our organization to the media, and coach senior management during interviews. You also apply your expertise in one-off assignments or projects, as well as in crisis situations. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in communications or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, including at least 2 years in public relations responsibilities.
  • Relevant experience in managing media relations.
  • Advanced proficiency in French and English, both oral and written, due to the nature of the tasks and interactions with French-speaking and English-speaking colleagues, partners, clients, or suppliers.
  • Availability for on-call duty on a set schedule, except during vacation periods.
  • Superior writing skills, and ease in communicating and simplifying content.
  • Proficiency in office suite tools (Office suite).

Responsibilities

  • Receive, evaluate, and analyze media requests, research information, and produce verbal or written responses.
  • Act as the company's spokesperson to the media on various topics, including crisis management.
  • Coordinate media interview preparation and conduct with senior management and advise them on their participation in public relations activities.
  • Develop talking points and present the company's position on certain issues.
  • Ensure proactive and continuous management of reputational risks through media monitoring tools and contribute to the implementation of mitigation measures.
  • Contribute to the establishment and maintenance of a communication framework for crisis and emergency management.
  • Act as a corporate communications expert advisor within the organization, particularly with senior management and managers.
  • Develop and implement corporate communications activities and strategies.
  • Write or revise press releases, articles, speeches, application dossiers, and corporate content for Beneva's social media.
  • Manage projects under your responsibility, including coordinating and supervising the project team if applicable.
