About The Position

Oak Valley Health is seeking a Communications Clerk (CUPE) for its Communications department. This is a part-time temporary position, expected to last until approximately January 2027. The role involves operating a Mitel console and various communication equipment, responding to emergency codes, and ensuring a positive customer experience. Requirements

Previous switchboard experience in a hospital environment, or large organization.
Working knowledge of a variety of communication systems.
Well-developed customer service skills; with a demonstrated courteous and professional telephone manner.
Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
Excellent computer skills; working in a computerized environment would be an asset.
Ability to work independently, with proven decision making skills.
Ability to work well under stress.
Demonstrated good attendance and performance records with the ability to maintain these same standards.
Demonstrates a commitment to a healthy and safe workplace for self and others (staff, patients, families, etc.) by taking all reasonable precautions and working in compliance with organizations related policies, health and safety legislation and best practices and completing relevant mandatory education as required.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience working on a Mitel console is preferred.

Responsibilities
