About The Position

StrategyCorp Toronto is looking for a Communications Associate to join our growing Communications team. WHO WE ARE StrategyCorp is a full-service public relations and strategic communications firm. We craft strategic communications programs that not only defend clients’ standing in moments of uncertainty but also build and amplify reputations over the long run. Since 1995, StrategyCorp has grown to operate nationally with over 100 consultants and staff. We are trusted to manage the brands and reputations of public and private sector organizations operating across North America and internationally. WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR As part of the Communications team, you will support the development and execution of strategic communications campaigns for a diverse portfolio of clients. Working closely with senior consultants, you will help develop messaging, produce content, conduct research, and contribute to integrated communications strategies. This role is ideal for someone early in their communications career who enjoys working on complex issues, thrives in a fast-paced consulting environment, and wants to build their skills in strategic communications.

Requirements

  • 1 - 2 years of progressive experience in communications or public relations (agency experience preferred)
  • An undergraduate degree in Communications, Public Relations or similar
  • Experience supporting communications campaigns involving owned, earned, shared, and paid media
  • Strong writing and editing skills with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to translate complex topics into clear, concise messaging
  • Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under deadlines
  • Understanding of the Canadian media landscape
  • Familiarity with social media platforms such as Instagram, X, and TikTok

Nice To Haves

  • French language proficiency
  • Formal training in public relations or communications

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and execution of integrated communications strategies
  • Draft a range of communications materials including media releases, messaging documents, briefing notes, and digital content
  • Conduct research on public policy issues, media coverage, and stakeholder landscapes
  • Monitor media coverage and prepare summaries and reports
  • Assist with earned media, social media, and digital communications initiatives
  • Support client projects and coordinate deliverables to ensure deadlines are met
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across government relations, communications, and consulting teams.
