About The Position

Join the company defining what it means to be an Impact Lender! Mortgages are what we do, but that doesn't define who we are. In 2008, Movement disrupted the industry with the innovative 6-7-1 mortgage process. In 2023, we pioneered again, helping launch Impact Lending – a new category of lending. Any mortgage lender that commits at least 10% of its profits to helping the neighborhoods it serves is an Impact Lender. At Movement, we are Impact Lenders. We give 40%-50% of our profits to making an impact in our communities. For us, purpose and people have always come before profit. Join a Company That's Always Been Built to Disrupt. We've never played this game the traditional way. Movement was founded in 2008, in the middle of a financial crisis. When most companies were trying to survive, we were building something different. We introduced 6-7-1 and changed how mortgages move. We helped pioneer Impact Lending, proving a business can win and give back at scale. We give 40-50% of profits to the communities we serve. And now? We're leaning into what's next. We are builders. We move fast. We test, learn, and ship. AI isn't a side project here. It's part of how we create, communicate, and compete every day. Mortgages are what we do. Building the future is who we are. The Role: This is not a writing role. It's a communications infrastructure role. We're looking for a communications apprentice who understands that great messaging is only as powerful as the system behind it. Someone who can partner with internal stakeholders to help their ideas reach the right audience, and who won't stop at "here's the draft" when "here's a better process" is also possible. You will sit inside our Marketing team, work in-office at our National Sales Support Center, and serve as a trusted partner to leaders, departments, and teams across the company. You'll help shape what we say, how we say it, when it goes out, and who receives it. You'll also support our events team, helping ensure that our biggest moments are planned, communicated, and experienced well. If there's a better way to run communications intake, you'll build it. If a team leader has something important to say but doesn't know how to say it, you'll help them find the words. If the dissemination process has friction, you'll remove it. You'll be mentored closely. You'll also be expected to bring us approaches we haven't considered yet.
