About The Position

This mission-focused role involves working with students ages 7-22 with developmental disabilities, supporting their journey toward independence and skill development. The position offers dynamic, hands-on experience in special education settings, with opportunities for creative problem-solving and meaningful relationship-building.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required (any field, but bonus points if it matches your focus area)
  • Valid Driver's license required
  • Physical stamina (you'll be active, not stuck in a chair)
  • Able to pass drug screen and background checks (no felonies, no abuse, assault, or neglect convictions)
  • Dependable - a consistent routine is important for our clients
  • Willing to complete TB skin test and work physical upon hire

Nice To Haves

  • Some experience preferred, but willing to train the right person who shows genuine interest and dedication.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead classes that inspire student engagement and achievement.
  • Manage your dedicated classroom space with autonomy and adaptive scheduling based on program needs.
  • Create personalized lesson plans using student assessments and data-driven approaches to maximize learning outcomes.
  • Utilize advanced data collection systems to track student advancement and inform instructional decisions.
  • Provide guidance and professional modeling for classroom assistants while maintaining high standards of practice.
