About The Position

Maryland Auto Insurance seeks candidates to fill a part-time, contractual role in our Internship Program within the Communications Department. The Communications and Corporate Relations Intern supports the planning and execution of the organization’s communication strategy. This is a part time position with a maximum of 29 hours per week for 8 weeks this summer starting June 8, 2026. This position is hybrid with both virtual and in office work. The candidate will be required to come into the office a minimum of once per week. Wednesday(s) will be a required in office day for educational lunch and learn sessions.

Requirements

• Excellent grammar, typing and computer skills
• Currently pursuing an associate or bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, or another related field.

Responsibilities

• Support in the execution of communication strategies for key audiences; tactics to include: Development of blog posts and advertorial content
• Participation in community outreach events
• Development of content for earned media
• Content development for consumer and internal websites
• Assisting in the coordination and executive of Community Outreach events
• Social media strategy planning, content development, and posting
• Participating in reporting meetings with internal partners and digital advertising agency
• Compiling media campaign and social media analytics for monthly reporting
